Maurice Picaud (Pico) gesso plaster cast of Lila Nikolska Folie Bergeres dancer Art Deco masterpiece


Mystery surrounds these highly collectable and extremely rare plaques. The original is to be found above the main entrance to the Folie Bergeres in Paris. Smaller versions were to be found in the foyer. At some point casts were made in gesso(plaster) and were made available for patrons and guests. They all feature the same heavy oak frame, gilded gold or silver. When they come up for auction, they normally are to be found in Christie's, Sotheby's or Bonhams, commanding prices in their high thousands. Size including frame is are welcome to arrange your own transport or you may collect by arrangement
