Canadian school Group of Seven in the manner of Lawren Harris Oil on board
Gorgeous Canadian School oil on panel. Very much in the manner of Lawren Harris, a Group of Seven member. These artists studied all over Europe and returned to Canada wanting to create a uniquely Canadian style of painting. The painting is not signed, as in the manner of Lawren Harris. He believed that 'art should speak for itself' An exquisite rendition of autumnal leaves captured in a colourful luminescent quality. To the reverse are Christie`s auctioneer labels.
Size is 17.5x14 inches excluding frame.
