An incredible early work by top illustrator Tom Connell. It is a gouache on paper of locomotive class 4-6-0 44689. Commonly called ‘Black fives’ this loco was built in 1950 and was withdrawn in 1967. The detail on this work is stunning, remember, no photoshop or airbrush! The image size is 13 x 10 cm, in original frame.
