Late 19th century ebonised Dutch ripple frame faux tortoise shell mirror
Typical Dutch ebonised wood ripple frame mirror. The mirror is original to the frame with the mercury backing, giving the beautifull rippled reflection.
It features faux tortoise shell inlay decoration. This is skillfully done by using paint and brush technique. This mirror is a rare survivor and priced as such.
The frame measures 15 cm or 6 inches wide. It measures 99 cm or 39 inches tall. The width is 82cm or 32 inches.
The mirror plate size is 44.5 cm or 17.5 inches by 60 cm or 23.5 inches wide.
