Antique Dutch Peat bucket circa 1830's in mahogany and brass

Good example of this rare type of peat bucket. Circa 1830’s in the navette shape. In later years with the arrival of gas to heat water, it was modified to take a kettle and burner. It has a hole where the pipe fed in.
It is only missing one brass ring in the middle. Also has historical repairs to brass liner.
